FIRST TIME REGISTRANTS

If you are registering for Elite (quadrant) tryouts for the first time, your hockey profile must be shared with your quadrant association before you will be able to register for tryouts. You must reside within the CRAA Boundaries outlined by Hockey Calgary.

After May 1 of the registration year please email the CRAA Administrator at admin@calgaryroyals.ca stating that your player is a first-time registrant with the following information:

Player Full Name
Player Date of Birth
Address
Player Hockey Canada ID #
Current Hockey Association or Last place you played hockey

Transfer (share) requests can be submitted immediately. Once the process is complete you can then register for tryouts. This process can take up to 5 business days. Please submit your requests early so you do not miss the deadlines.

• To register, you will need to live within our boundaries and be registered with your community association.
• If you last played outside of Alberta, there will be an extra fee to cover the cost of interprovincial transfer.
• The Calgary Royals have moved to a registration platform using Teamlinkt. You will require your players Hockey Canada ID in order to register.

2026 - U15AAA Tryouts

Tryout Registration will be open: June 15, 2026 @ 12PM. 
(Early Bird Fee will be in effect only until June 30, 2026)

U15AAA Players - will be scheduled for 3 scrimmage icetimes, however, those born in 2013** will also be scheduled for one mandatory checking clinic
U15AAA Goalies* - will be scheduled for a goalie eval and 3 scrimmage icetimes

All registrants must also be registered for their respective Community Tryouts in order to be eligible for our tryouts. The only exceptions will be to those players who have already been committed by the U15AAA coach.

*Please note: There is the possibility of goaltender releases following the goalie eval depending on registration numbers. If this does occur, you will be issued a full registration refund (minus any non-refundable credit card fees if applicable)
**All players born in 2013 will be scheduled for a mandatory checking session as part of the tryout process. If anyone born in 2012+ has not participated in a checking division previously, it is required to notify us for addition to these sessions for safety purposes. Failure to participate will result in cancellation of registration.

TENTATIVE TRYOUTS SCHEDULE (as of May 1, 2026)  - Team Rosters/Team Colours will be posted in August.
